How To Use Coconut Oil For Pretty Much Everything

You don't have to be a natural food junkie to have noticed that coconut oil has really gained in popularity over the last few years, and with good reason, too.

Coconut oil is actually something that can be used for so many things. Everything from cooking to household uses, and even as a beauty product. In this article, I want to look at some of the different ways that you can use this amazing oil, and maybe even ways that you hadn't thought of before.

A lot of the ways in this article are going to help you to save money, too, because they totally take away the need for you to buy other products that coconut oil can easily replace. So, whilst coconut oil seems quite expensive for a one time purchase, it lasts for ages, because you only need a tiny drop of it, and it means that you don't have to buy any other products.

Cooking

This one is fairly obvious because most oils can be used for cooking. Coconut oil can be flavoured or unflavoured, so depending on what you’re cooking, and what your taste preferences are, then you can easily use coconut oil as a much healthier alternative to other oils.

Hair Care

If you ever suffer from dry skin or dry scalp, then one of the most soothing things that you can rub on it, is coconut oil. It feels amazing when you put in your hair, and it leaves the hair and the skin soft and supple, and really works as a deep conditioning treatment, too.

This isn't something you should do every day. You should use it no more than once per week if you’re having some issues with dry skin and hair and especially during the winter, as that can really help you any discomfort that you have.

Makeup remover

Coconut oil is amazing for removing makeup and is much less harsh on the skin than chemicals that you would buy for this purpose.  It quickly removes any makeup, and all you need is the smallest amount for it to take effect.

It can be used on your eyes because it’s completely organic, so you can use it to remove eye makeup and any other existing makeup that you have on your face without problems, then you also have the added benefit of it leaving your skin very nice and soft, making it a great addition to your beauty regime.

Lip balm

Coconut oil is an amazing lip balm, and because of its natural consistency, it really works the same way that any other would, and works to lock in more moisture, and keep your lips soft and moisturised all day long.

You’ll only need a very small amount, as it can look very greasy, but it really works a lot longer than most other lip balms do, and it's completely natural so there are no chemicals to worry about.

Whilst coconut oil is good in the winter as a lip balm, it's not something that you should need to use as a permanent lip balm, so you can find others that you can alternate with coconut oil or even add a little bit of coconut oil too. You can shop lip care treatment oil online at many places to find something that works as the perfect complement to your coconut oil.
