Rethink Everything You Know About Cosmetic Surgery

When you think of cosmetic surgery, you probably imagine all of the horror stories you’ve been told. You imagine being operated on and long recovery times. Well, that has all changed now thanks, advances in surgery. There are now many non-invasive and minimally invasive treatments that can be done at clinics throughout the country. Think more spa, less hospital. We’ve compiled a list of the best treatments out there that just might surprise you.

Face/Neck Lift using Dermal Fillers

You don’t need to go under the knife to regain a youthful face/neck anymore. By using Dermal Fillers, the injectable treatment plumps up the skin and provides renewed facial contours. It also provides a more youthful complexion. The fillers themselves are made of a synthetic substance that mimics the body’s depleted levels of hyaluronic acid. There are no scary ingredients here.

Skin Tightening

We all have areas of our bodies that need to be more toned. Sometimes, there is only so much that can be done with exercise. By using techniques such as the Soprano XL-Near Infrared (NIR), the procedure is carried out by heating the deeper layers of the skin, helping it to firm up. You will need a short course to get the full effects, but once done they last between 1-2 years.

Vaser® Lipo

Vaser lipo is a less invasive and can be performed using only local anaesthetic. The area to be treated is numbed, and a special solution is injected to shrink the blood vessels. An ultrasound frequency probe is then inserted through small incisions to shake loose the fat cells. They are then easily removed through cannulas. The results are amazing, and there is a full aftercare regime.

Tummy Tuck

After you’ve had children, your stomach is rarely ever the same again. This is where a tummy tuck can be great to restore your body confidence. By using radiofrequency body contouring, you can achieve the results you’ve wanted for years without going under the knife. It works by breaking down fatty deposits and targets the subcutaneous tissue. It can also be used on the thighs, buttocks and arms.

Laser Hair Removal

Although you can do this at home, the results will be better when done by a professional. It is also able to be done on a wider range of skin tones and types. Lasers are directed onto the hair and drawn into the melanin, which in turn heats the rest of the hair shaft. The heat then either weakens or destroys the hair follicle making it detach from the hair shaft. The hair is then shed, and without the follicle, does not regrow. This is an ideal treatment to prepare for a holiday or a big event.

If you do decide to go ahead with treatment, then make sure you do your research first. There are many great clinics and medi spas  offering treatments. These are undertaken by doctors and other medically qualified staff.
