If you start with the advice listed in this article, you will be off to a good start when it comes to looking after your hair. Without further ado, then, here are our top tips.

Wash No More Than Three Times A Week

A lot of people make the mistake of thinking that the more you wash your hair, the better. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. If you want your hair to be as healthy as possible, then it is essential that you minimise the amount you wash it. In fact, experts recommend that you only wash it two or three times a week. Any more than that, and you might cause some irreparable damage to the roots. Not over washing has to be the first step towards assuring a healthier and fuller head of hair

Brush Twice A Day

Brushing is often seen as just a stylistic concern. Many people only really brush properly when it looks like a mess. However, brushing actually has some distinct advantages which your hair can really benefit from. It is in fact a good idea to brush your hair twice a day, every day. If you think this sounds excessive, think again. Brushing once in the morning and once in the evening for about a minute will work wonders for your hair. You should aim to brush for about a minute. What’s more, be sure to brush from the bottom up. Brushing from the roots causes damage which you would rather avoid.

Choose Your Hairdryer Well

It is a myth that hair drying is bad for your hair. In fact, as long as you are careful about it, it can actually be beneficial. The main thing here is to choose your hairdryer well, as not all are created equal. You should look for yourself and try to find one which is relatively easy-going on the hair. What’s more, there is no harm in making sure that you keep it on the lowest setting when you are using it.

Consider Dry Shampoo

If you feel that only washing twice a week just isn’t enough, then there are some other solutions. Dry shampoo is often favoured amongst travellers and festival-goers. The trick is to keep it in small doses and not overdo it. Done right, it can really bring out the natural shine in your hair.
